The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the
organization by performing various accounting functions to ensure
the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
Essential Job Functions:
Process Owner for Accounts Receivable
Ensure proper billing and credit processing
Collection's activities and application of client systems
Calculation and monitoring of client volume rebate programs
Process Owner for Internal Payroll
Lead preparer for confidential internal payroll (supported by
accounting Manager and Director of Finance
Reconciling incentive, bonus, and commission accruals
Assist Accounting Manager with administration of HTI Employee
Savings Plan (401K/Roth)
Co-responsible Accountant for Personal Cost Recognition
Working with The Accounting Specialist -External Payroll Process
Owner to ensure proper cost recognition of personnel costs
Reconciliation of payroll liability accounts and other balance
sheet accounts related to payroll activities
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have strong analytical skills.
Must have strong financial knowledge and ability to work well with
numbers, paying great attention to detail and accuracy.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines.
Must have technical aptitude and ability to understand complex
processes and procedures.
Knowledge of automated payroll systems.
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and
BS in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 5 years post-graduate in key activities noted above.
Intermediate or Advance user of Excel
