This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting, inventory management, and AP/AR processes. You'll oversee a team of six, including AP, AR, and payroll, and help guide the business through an upcoming ERP system migration from an AS400/IBM8 environment. Job Details Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting functions: AP, AR, payroll, and inventory Supervise and mentor a finance team of six Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes Manage cost accounting and cost-of-goods-sold reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Maintain strong internal controls and compliance Lead system migration from AS400/IBM8 to a modern ERP Act as a key financial advisor alongside the CFO Prepare for eventual transition into the CFO role Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with 5 years of experience Strong manufacturing accounting expertise (cost, inventory, AP/AR) Track record of supervising accounting staff Familiarity with legacy ERP systems, particularly AS400/IBM8 Experience driving process improvements and system conversions Excellent leadership and communication skills CPA not required (but a plus) Interested in hearing more?
