All while understanding that together we are even better. /n /n/n /n Schedule: FT / Day /n /n/n /n Location: 101 HOSPITAL DR, Columbus, 28722 /n /n/n /n The role you’ll contribute: /n /n/n /n A staff physical therapist is a qualified professional who is responsible for providing physical therapy services to all patient populations (pediatrics through geriatrics). Provides physical therapy services to patients/clients who have physical impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes; provide prevention and wellness services, including screenings and health promotion. /n /n/n /n The value you’ll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Physical therapists demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in synthesizing complex evaluation data identifying the diagnosis and developing a comprehensive plan of care /n /n - Develop and update appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and related to the person’s age and lifestyle with measurable long- and short-term goals and a defined discharge plan /n /n - Understand the role of physical therapy in the context of the patient’s age, total needs perspective and environment. /n /n - Perform age-appropriate competency skills in area of practice and with respect to individual patient’s problems. /n /n - Exhibit the highest level of quality and services to all patients. /n /n - Plan, develop, coordinate and implement varying levels of activities for swing bed patients in order to help patients meet their therapy goals /n /n - Ensure patient goals for swing bed are met. /n /n - Actively support and participate in patient coverage efforts within the department and across other departments as necessary. /n /n - Documentation is concise, pertinent and meets the professions and departments documentation standards. /n /n/n /n/n /n Qualifications /n /n The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n Required: /n /n/n /n/n /n - A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy /n /n - Successful completion of NC Physical Therapy State Board Examination or other state equivalent /n /n - Licensure as a Physical Therapist within the state of North Carolina /n /n - Must hold and maintain current BCLS certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support) /n /n/n /n/n /n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
