Guitar Center, a leader in musical instruments retail, is seeking a skilled Retail Guitar Repair Tech to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on providing high-quality technical support and repair services for a wide range of guitars. As a Repair Tech, you will assess, repair, and maintain guitars, ensuring each instrument's optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining Guitar Center's reputation as a top choice for both aspiring and professional musicians. This position requires a deep understanding of guitar mechanics and the ability to provide exceptional service under tight deadlines. Diagnose issues with guitars and recommend appropriate repair strategies. Perform setups, fretwork, structural repairs, electronics upgrades, and other related maintenance tasks. Provide excellent customer service, including explaining technical details and repair timelines to customers. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Keep track of inventory levels for necessary repair supplies and tools. Collaborate with store team members to enhance service delivery and customer engagement. Strong knowledge of guitar hardware and electronics Proficiency in using tools and machinery for guitar repair Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certification from a recognized luthier school (preferred) Any relevant manufacturer-specific certification (if applicable)
