Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for the 2025/26 school year at a school in Asheville, NC. This contract position involves providing specialized services for approximately 2-5 hours per week, primarily working with two middle school students. Key responsibilities include: Delivering direct speech and language therapy, with a focus on students using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices Participating in IEP meetings to collaborate with the educational team Managing and catching up on service hours as required Providing therapy onsite only; voice-over communication (VOCO) services are not accepted Preferred qualifications: Valid SLP certification with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) Experience working in school settings Demonstrated proficiency in supporting students with AAC Strong organizational and communication skills This role offers the opportunity to provide focused, impactful intervention in a school environment, helping middle school students develop essential communication skills.
