Job Description:

Process Engineer-- - TEXTILES Structure Reports to Technical Manager The Process Manager will work as a hands-on facilitator with production, maintenance, and continuous improvement department personnel to improve manufacturing processes, equipment efficiencies, and product quality through lean manufacturing principles. This position-- ensures the end product meets customer needs.-- The Process Manager will provide technical leadership in the improvement of manufacturing processes, raw material quality, manufacturing equipment efficiencies, and product quality. Responsibilities ------ Lead in all aspects of employee-driven safety program. ------ Utilizes problem-solving skills to correct inefficiencies ------ Manages for improvement in processes end-to-end ------ Collects and analyzes production data. ------ Monitors in-coming raw material quality and communicates with suppliers. ------ Conducts internal ISO audits. ------ Leads lean manufacturing initiatives. ------ Addresses quality and customer specification concerns. Provides Leadership to Process Improvement and Process Control Activities and Projects ------ Conducts process audits to review product characteristics and process variables and implements sustainable corrective actions for process issues. ------ Determines process consistency and capability. ------ Develops and implements procedures to ensure all products meet specifications at the lowest cost. ------ Identifies and eliminates common causes of product and process variation (troubleshooting). ------ Implements corrective actions for issues surfaced through quality complaints. ------ Coaches, counsels, and trains all employees on process control. ------ Establishes processes for all critical tasks and audits for adherence and compliance. ------ Partners with maintenance to resolve equipment issues. ------ Identifies and requests capital funding as required. ------ Committed to improving the quality of the product to sustainable levels and driving defects in raw materials, end products, and all other inputs to zero Coaches, Trains, Mentors, Educates ------ Partners with employees to develop and implement procedures. ------ Provides leadership to production technicians on the manufacturing process and process control procedures. ------ Partners with our Technical Leaders to develop product specifications that are achievable and capable in the manufacturing environment. Skills and Abilities ------ Ability to effectively utilize Root Cause Analysis methods to problem solve process issues and increase equipment reliability, process capability, and improve product quality. ------ Ability to utilize data and data collection systems, and Six Sigma methods for problem-solving and decision-making to eliminate manufacturing losses and unnecessary costs. ------ Experience developing and implementing procedures and systems to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. ------ Possesses a mechanical aptitude ------ Ability to organize and lead multi-functional teams from all levels of the organization. ------ Demonstrates excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization. ------ Possesses Business and Financial acumen to understand the drivers of success and how they interact ------ Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple projects, effectively prioritize workload, and be committed to continuous process improvement. ------ Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and undertake self-directed tasks when necessary. Qualifications ------ Textile experience preferred-- ------ Associates degree in engineering, operations, or relevant science field or equivalent experience. ------ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.-- Advanced Excel skills. ------ Demonstrated experience working within a Six Sigma or lean manufacturing environment. ------ Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management ------ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
