hiring in Asheboro, North CarolinaMission:The Industrial
Engineering Leader (also known as a Progress Leader) in Asheboro is
responsible for facilitating the site's Progress initiatives
aligned with the strategic ambitions. This position promotes an
environment of "Lean Thinking", expresses resource needs (training
/assistance), and identifies opportunities for growth and
improvement.Responsibilities:
- Act as an interface between the site and the Central Progress
organization.
- Monitor the performance of the progress projects and their
contributions to the site's industrial strategy.
- Promote and deploy benchmarks, standards and tools measuring
customer satisfaction.
- Identify and collect requirements for potential changes related
to best practices and tools throughout the organization.
- Help to structure the site's vision and its roadmap by
encouraging and supporting decision making.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma Methodology.
- Develop the autonomy, professionalism and competencies of
employees.
- Maintain accurate work measurement standards such as time
studies and frequency checks to be used by our staffing model.
- Ensure that both short and long term site operational budgets
reflect progress.Requirements
- BS in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, or equivalent technical major
- Minimum of three to five years of industrial or manufacturing
related engineering experience.
- Proven leadership experience such as the experience of a Junior
Military Officer (JMO)
- Project Management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and Power BI a plus
- Ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated solid teamwork, interpersonal and planning
