What You Will Be Doing
-Reviews and works with customer's request or internal request for new product design, or modification to current product.
-Gathers feedback, specifications, drawings, and other relevant input, to understand and clearly define product's feasibility, best approach, and potential cost.
-Works with other Engineers to outline preliminary specifications, interface requirements, materials needed, timelines, potential issues.
-Designs hardware required for new product, prototype, or re-design; including sourcing parts and writing technical documentation.
-Prepares software specifications regarding the hardware/software interface for new products.
-Designs, develops, and installs Edge IoT systems based on review of specific customer and site assessment.
-Participates in cross-divisional Edge IoT projects and/or proposals.
-Writes design specifications, conducts testing, and performs analysis as required.
-Troubleshoots new products, prototypes, and/or current product failures; and determines or test to modify to correct issues; and or improve existing product's capabilities based on internal or external customer request.
-Works with software engineer as well as quality to refine product/design.
-Provides technical support for internal Sales staff and external customers.
What You Need for this Position
-BS in Electrical Engineering
-3-5 year combined work experience in areas including electrical, electronic, displays, and/or circuit board development.
