Overview

International Vitamin Corporation (IVC) is a leading global manufacturer of vitamins and nutritional supplements with more than half a century of private label and contract manufacturing experience, an impeccable quality and regulatory compliance record, and with new resources focused on enriching the health and lives of others. We currently have an opening for an Inventory Manager in our Greenville, SC location.

  • As a dynamic leader, will develop and lead a process to manage inventory life cycles from new product launch to product end of life
  • This role is responsible for all processes associated with inventory management of raw materials and packaging materials to ensure optimal execution of inventory levels as products phase in and phase out of our supply chain network. This includes product shelf life, BOM usage, excess and obsolescence risk, and financial reserve related for obsolescence.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages the process and implementation of product life cycle from new product introduction, phase in/phase out to end of life inventory.
    • Have an in-depth understanding of MRP/ERP parameters to drive optimal inventory
    • Develops new processes for on-going inventory management with a focus on slow moving and aged Inventory.
    • Working with the demand and supply planning team to identify phase in and phase out plans that best optimize network inventory levels for new, phase out and transition items.
    • Completes root cause analyses, develop corrective actions and creates a playbook for common aged inventory drivers by working with data and key stakeholders in the organization to prevent obsolescence.
    • Tracks aged inventory reduction actions by running reports, identifying ownership for this inventory and scheduling recurring meeting with key stakeholders.
    • Analyze, forecast and communicate inventory risk to stakeholders with potential inventory issues
    • Provides input to inventory optimization recommendations, adjustments and executing overall, global network inventory strategy
    • Manages intercompany stock transfer opportunities to optimize inventory and evaluates cost/benefit analysis
    • Provides input into global E&O projections, reduction plans and strategies; also facilitates E&O disposition plans
    • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce inventory, optimize processes, and implement solutions.
    • Work cross functionally to support all new and changes to products; Ensure of materials procurement and receipt in support of new, change, and deleted products.
    • Develop and implement solutions to problems affecting inventory levels and with internal and external stakeholders for optimal performance.
    • Partner with sales, finance and planning to lead processes associated with slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory levels.
    • Develops safety stock optimization initiates, to determine safety stock strategy and safety lead time in order to support customer service goals

      Qualifications

      • 7+ years of supply chain process experience in supply planning and / or material planning
      • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
      • Strong and proactive communication skills
      • Effective collaboration skills including the ability to work as part of, and lead teams
      • Strong understanding of end to end supply chain and inventory impacts based on cross-functional decisions
      • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle
      • Experience with BI Analytics or similar tools preferred
      • Must have demonstrated ability to create concepts, practices, and tools to resolve problems or improve processes. Must have demonstrated example leading a successful process improvement
      • Ability to be an individual contributor and work with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities to improve overall company performance
      • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and vlookup)
      • Data analytics experience and knowledge in business intelligence products preferred
      • APICS certification is a plus
      • Travel is minimal, but may be necessary at times to work with partners in manufacturing locations
