Description:The Program Manager oversees the daily operations of the Program. Ensures that the Medical Assistance Eligibility Process and all other DECO services are delivered in a professional and focused manner ensuring the best possible outcomes for our client and their self-pay population. The Program Manager reviews productivity for quality assurance and adherence to program policy in an effort to provide optimal service to our clients. The Program Manager is responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating Eligibility staff. The Program Manager acts as the liaison between DECO Clients and Eligibility Representatives to facilitate a seamless cooperative effort and provides training to supporting departments. The Program Manager prepares weekly and monthly reports to upper management for effective monitoring of staff. Must be able to partner with the hospital and create relationships.Duties:Look at medical records and make a determination whether a person is disable and make a determination If they are qualified for disabilityMonitor group of eligibility reps(at full 6 reps 1 being a team leader. 4 located at bonsecour located down town. Also have another facility which is the east side facility)monitor at separate locations. Ensures all employee reviews are completed timely. Initiates necessary disciplinary action and reports to Regional Manager/Dir. Of Operations actions taken. Keeps District Manager/Regional Operations Director informed of any problems regarding client, staff or other entities, which affect the success of DECO. Reports to District Manager/Regional Operations Director on team accomplishments, achievements and productivity Is able to manage and motivate other team members to accomplish tasks and goals. Ensures that assigned staff are performing their job functions according to the "Schedules and Methods of Work" set out by DECO. Assists in the training of all new employees reporting to Program Manager Ensures that all weekly and monthly reports are completed timely for the District Manager/Regional Operations Director. Assures that all client files are maintained and record statuses in the DECO database are accurate. Interacts with patients, families, physicians and caseworkers in order to obtain or determine the eligibility of the patient for Federal or State assistance. Ensures primary focus is on optimizing revenue for clients and DECO. Develops and maintains an extensive knowledge base for County, Federal and State administered programs. Develops a working knowledge of the "resident client information systems" so that relevant information to our process can be input and extracted. Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the DECOnet software. Develops and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of eligibility systems, their codes, and their relationships so those problems can be identified and resolved. Ensures all accounts are documented and followed-up in accordance with the guidelines established in the DECO training manuals and included in the client hospital contract. Ensures all agreed upon guidelines established by the client hospital are met. Informs District Manager/Regional Operations Director of any potential problems in a timely manner. Work with a professional attitude creating an atmosphere of value, honor and dignity for your clients and coworkers. Deliver efficient, high quality services and work with a commitment to improve services work processes, and performance. Work with District Manager/Regional Operations Director on all other duties as assigned in order to ensure appropriate outcomes for DECO as a single organizational entity. Ensures the staff follows DECO policies and procedures. Works with Audit, Training and Implementation Team Leaders and helps develop any action plans necessary in appropriate facilities. Maintains appropriate contact and relationships with clients. Performance Goals: Certification goal as established by Regional Operations Director/ Chief Financial Officer Aging goal as established by Regional Operations Director/ Chief Financial Officer Ensures running of Monthly Reconciliation and Adjudication of same Accounts in APC/PAC status less than 90 days Field visit obtained for accounts in Status AIN/APC/PAC greater than $10,000 in charges Completion of Eligibility Checklists on all patients Completion of Task List by all staff Performance Responsibilities: Account returns greater than $25,000 reviewed by District Manager and accounts greater than $100,000 reviewed by Regional Operations Director Average daily inventory less than 50 days Conversion percentage of accepted referrals meet facility goal established by COO Maintains a current SOP for their facilitySkills:Medicaid, MedicareTop Skills Details:Medicaid & Medicare experienceAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Looking for more on the experience side rather than educationNeed to have leadership experience in the healthcare industry and can be finance or direct patient contact. Need someone who can supervise and manage the eligibility reps and handle the financial recordings at the same time. Must knows Medicaid and MedicareExperience with EPIC(program) or something similarPrefer someone that has worked in a Medicaid office or has led a team of medicate case workers(willing to work with someone that has worked with it)Some understanding of the disability process.Thorough knowledge of government healthcare eligibility programs. Prior multi-entity management experience.Qualifications: Some college and five plus years of related experience and/or training Accurate typing/data entry at a minimum of 30 wpm Ability to use a PC effectively including various database programs. Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Thorough knowledge of the Medicaid application and appeals processes.
