Job Description:

VLS Recovery Services, a leader in the Environmental Services industry, is looking for an energetic and results-focused leader to oversee one of our mid-sized facilities. Reporting to the Vice President - Waste, this position will be responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures for the site.
Responsibilities
Ensure that the operation is managed in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements
Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being
Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
Examine financial data/statements and use them to improve profitability
Perform quality controls and monitor production KPI's
Recruit, train, supervise and appraise human resources. Accomplish results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
Plan, schedule, and review workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes
Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources
Maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
Work closely with the management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation. Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings
Partner with Safety team to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations
Purchase materials, plan inventory and ensure warehouse efficiency

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in operations management or related field, or equivalent experience
At least 10 years' progressive experience in management, operations, and leadership
Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss and balance sheet
Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees
Excellent communication and leadership skills
