Summary: The Manager of Global Operational Excellence ("Manager") will enhance organizational effectiveness by supporting and managing a partner-focused approach to daily operational execution while implementing operational optimization. -As a key member of the ScanSource, Inc. ("ScanSource") leadership team, the role will ensure the ScanSource team manages the resources, processes, assets, and skills needed to deliver on commitments while supporting ongoing execution and delivery of operational initiatives.A key aspect of this role is being a business partner who will assist in bridging the gap between vision and execution, specifically related to balancing profitable growth, strategically managing costs, and intelligently navigating risk. The Manager will contribute to the development of and management of operational procedures to help shape and drive a partner-focused strategy for long-term profitable growth and value; create programs responsive to the external environment; provide real-time and best-in-class data with rhythm and consistency for timely business insight; and participate in cross-functional business and cultural development.Essential Job Duties: Best-in-Class ApproachManage an Operational Excellence team focused on developing a consistent and best-in-class approach to enable the success of the global organization.Align with the consistent view of the overall organization and look actively for opportunities for synergy and simplification.Compile and evaluate data associated with the business and the ongoing measurement against ScanSource's Operating Plan.Demonstrate mastery of the intricacies of interactions and dynamics within the operational delivery teams. Assure consistent, effective rhythms for collecting data and publishing metrics.Use disciplined approaches to manage team progress via effective information dashboards for project execution velocity, financial performance, Supplier and Sales Partner satisfaction, and quality requirements.Proactively use data, practical knowledge, and innovative insights to drive timely decisions; determine appropriate courses of action; and forecast future needs while managing risk.Contribute to the develop and delivery of onboarding programs with key stakeholders that accelerate the time to value for new operational delivery resources.Provide insights to navigate through ambiguity, evaluate conflicting priorities, and adapt to changing situations.Demonstrate strategic level skills in collaborating with different stakeholders, influencing decisions, and maintaining a strategic view.Foster a partner-focused culture and drive high-performance project execution through continuous engagement.Performance ObjectivesMajor personal performance objectives for this role in the first twelve months are:Contribute to and drive usage and adoption of best-in-class operational initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional operational teams in implementing an enhanced go-to-market approach for specific business outcomes while educating operational teams and building associated delivery capabilities.Identify and rollout an updated process to ensure quality audit compliance against new operational requirements.Implement and manage a predictable and real-time feedback approach to organizational readiness relating to performance, team education, etc.Establish a quarterly reporting mechanism to internal business stakeholders on the Operating Excellence team's focus areas and accomplishments to-date.Leadership and TeamworkThe Manager will exhibit confidence in self and others. - The individual will inspire and motivate others to perform well, effectively influence actions and opinions of others, provide and accept professional feedback, deliver appropriate recognition, be a decision-maker and look for ways to encourage team growth.Manage the performance of team and coordinate execution of goals aligned with ScanSource and other functional operational teams. Collaborate to establish written guidelines and procedures with instruction, information, and education to enable team's success.Provide direction and education to team through daily interaction on business issues and in organized group settings (e.g., team meetings, education sessions).Ensure compliance with guidelines and procedures in adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and work cooperatively to address and resolve any potential findings.Manage and encourage team members to implement process improvements and achieve annual business goals.Give continuous feedback to team. Deliver mid-year, annual employee performance reviews for team members and guide Individual Development Plans for long-term career growth.Set an example for the team by putting the needs of the team above one's own interests and demonstrating a strong work ethic and positive attitude.Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with team to ensure consistency within the team.Business Process EfficienciesResponsibilities include assisting with the development and implementation of continuous process improvements to promote efficiencies and improve customer experience.Rethink, redesign, and implement business processes to achieve improvements in cost, quality, speed, and service.Recommend and execute technology improvements to drive productivity.Encourage and develop business practices to enable ScanSource to advance its competitive position.Analyze and make enhancements to processes that hinder business needs.Assist with the development and implementation of continuous process improvements through productive feedback related to guidelines and procedures to promote additional operational efficiencies, more rapid order processing, and improved customer experiences. The individual will properly document procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls.Supports Senior Director of Global Operational Excellence and Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis and Operational Excellence; ScanSource Leadership; and Operational Excellence teamResponsibilities include assisting with the development and achievement of ScanSource and Operational Excellence team objectives.Ensure consistency among the operational team members through constant communication with Leadership.Generate and/or actively maintain accurate and complete Operational Excellence-related documentation.Align with Leadership to maintain and update Operational Guidelines and Procedures documents as needed.Perform various job-related projects as needed.Other Duties as AssignedQualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required7+ years' work experience5+ years working in a technology environmentPrevious Operational Excellence or related work experienceStrategic thinker with solid analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong management skills with demonstrated ability to coach and influence across an organizationHighly organized and detailed-oriented with a strong work ethic and passion for creating high-quality resultsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and changing work environmentExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skillsProficiency in computer skills, including but not limited to Excel, Powerpoint and WordPresent a positive, collaborative, and professional appearance and imageEligibility Requirements:Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
