ManagerJob Summary:The Senior Project Manager is responsible for
all aspects of projects over their entire lifecycle (initiate,
plan, execute, control, close). Must be familiar with system scope
and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each
team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of
teams.Direct and manage projects from initiation to closure by
defining scope, goals, deliverables, budget and timeline in
collaboration with project sponsors and senior management.Develop
full-scale project plans and associated communication documents and
effectively communicate project expectations to team members and
project sponsors in a timely and clear manner.Proactively manage
changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
using appropriate verification techniques. Ability to keep the
project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project
changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate
customer acceptance.Identify potential crises and devise
contingency plans as necessary.Measure project performance using
appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress
of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any
required corrective actions, and communicate to all
stakeholders.Manage execution of the tasks as defined in the
project plan in order to achieve the project goals.Identify key
project team members by defining roles and responsibilities to
create a project organization structure in order to develop the
communication plan.Provide leadership for project teams to motivate
team members to meet project goals, adhering to their
responsibilities and projectmilestones.Implement the approved
actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in
order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project.Plan and
track project milestones and deliverables using appropriate
toolsPlan, schedule, and lead meetingsMaintain all project
documents and presents project updates at required status
meetingsDevelop and deliver progress reports, proposals,
requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences,
including project team, sponsors, Senior Management, and key
stakeholdersActively participate in quality issue
resolution.Participate in establishing practices, templates,
policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature project
management capabilities for the organization.Perform other duties
as assigned.Education/Training Requirements:Bachelor's degree
and/or equivalent work experience required.Experience/Specialized
Skills:Required Skills:Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work
experience required.5+ years project management experience.5+ years
of professional work experience.Attention to DetailsInfluencing
abilitiesDeveloping and managing budgetsVendor Management
skillsExperienced skills with MS ProjectExperience communicating
effectively with all levels of management.Experience with software
methodology development processes.Experience with Azure Dev Ops or
other ticketing systems such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or
RallyExcellent Customer Facing SkillsExcellent Communication
Skills(written and verbal)Excellent experience in SDLC
Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC/WaterfallAbility to work under
tight deadlines managing multiple priorities.Desired Skills:PMP
Certification or working toward certification within 12
months.Contract NegotiationCapitalization ManagementDemonstrated
knowledge of Project Management process and tools.Ability to create
presentations and write business cases under direct involvement by
the program manager.Ability to solve problems and deal with a
variety of work situations.Proficiency with MS Office.Special
ConsiderationsPhysical Requirements:Constant use of vision,
hearing, and communication (oral and written in person and via
telephone). Frequent concentration, standing, walking, handling,
reaching, and grasping. Occasional bending, kneeling and lifting
(up to 25 lbs.). Heavy use of computer and office
equipment.Additional Requirements:Occasional travel may be
required. Periodic work outside of standard business hours or on
weekends may be required.
