Job Description:

*OVERVIEW*

Dority & Manning P.A. has an opening for a Training Manager, at our head office in Greenville, SC. The selected candidate will report to the Chief Operations Officer, with responsibility for Dority & Manning's Training and Development activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring programs and activities that enhance skills and knowledge of the Dority & Manning employees across all levels of the organization. This individual will be responsible for training within the organization, including design, development, and content delivery. Further areas of focus include managing training programs, policies, and procedures, and will cover both soft skill development as well as technical subject matter.

Furthermore, the Training Manager will be responsible for developing orientation programs for lateral partners and new associates, as well as managing the attorney mentor program. They will collaborate on the attorney evaluation processes and monitor CLE compliance.

The role will research new training techniques and suggest enhancements to existing training programs, to meet the changing needs of the firm. This person will ensure that training materials are kept up-to-date, and are effective, as well as ensuring that project/department milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.

The goal is to promote efficiency and competitive advantage by developing the skills of our employees across all segments and levels of the organization.

*RESPONSIBILITIES*

* Create and maintain the *annual strategy* for developing, executing and reviewing training to meet organizational needs.
* *Collaborate* with the Senior Business Operations Manager, and other leaders in the organization, to design, develop, and deliver learning activities for employees across all segments and levels of the organization utilizing various forms of media.
* *Directs* the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
* Liaise with Team Leads, Operations Manager, and HR Manager to *determine training needs* and *schedule training sessions*.
* *Write*, *edit*and *review technical documentation*, create *user manuals* and *training literature* for various roles within the firm.
* *Translates* requirements into trainings that will assist employees in continued growth within individual development plans.
* *Continually* evaluate training programs and training procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and update curriculum as needed.
* Develop a process, and implement & maintain a *database for documenting*, *tracking*, and *reporting* on *learning and development activities and staff completion*.
* Maintain *training files* for each position.
* Create, review, and maintain firm *training policies and procedures.*
* Support to *new system implementations*
* Act as a *subject matter expert* *(SME)* on companywide strategic initiatives including new systems, processes, and procedures, and provide understanding on changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
* Serves as a *SME* on *select tools & applications* used for learning activities within the firm.
* Identify and incorporate *best practices* and *lessons learned* into *program plans*.
* Works across the practice groups, and with support staff, to *standardize various tasks*.
* Prints, organizes and assembles *training materials* (binders, handouts, etc.).
* Conducts *"Train the Trainer"*sessions for the SMEs delivering training to various teams in the organization.

*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES*

* *Demonstrated*understanding of needs assessment, program design and development, facilitation, measurement, and maintenance.
* *Technical writing skills*
* Strong knowledge and understanding of *adult learning theory* and *principles*.
* Excellent verbal and written *communication skills*
* Strong *presentation skills*.
* Strong *project management skills*.
* Ability to *form meaningful partnerships* with various business unit leaders and executives.
* Well-*organized* and *detail oriented*.
* *Critical thinking* and *decision making*
* Proficient in *Microsoft Office* suite.

*QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE*

*Required: *

* *Bachelor's Degree* in Human Resources, Training, Organizational Development or another related field.
* Minimum of five (5) years proven experience *designing* and *implementing* *employee development programs*.
* Minimum of five (5) years of proven *technical writing experience*.
* Experience with maintaining and administering online *Learning Management Systems* (e-Learning) platforms and practices.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of *adult learning theory* and *principles*.

*Preferred*

* Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential or similar certification.
* Master's Degree.
