The HUD Compliance Manager is primarily responsible for the regulatory compliance of the Ambling properties that are controlled by HUD regulations. The Manager is the primary source for all information helping assure that all Ambling properties are in compliance with HAP contracts, corporate policies and HUD program regulations as they relate toe Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs), FHEO, and REAC.


Essential functions for this position relate to the responsibility of oversight of information technology for properties and personnel.

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understand of applicable HUD notices/regulations
  • Work directly wit the the Director of Compliance to ensure all reporting, policies and procedures are maintained and performed per HUD guidelines for all operations
  • Directly manage any properties that may be assigned in the RPM capacity
  • Implement and communicate the appropriate revision to the Ambling HUD policies and procedures
    • Coordination of HUD Regulations on layered properties with Ambling's Director of Compliance
    • Coordination of HUD Regulation with Ambling software development support department
    • Provide final draft recommendations to the Strategic Business Development team as well as melding HUD regulations with existing Ambling policies
    • 504 Coordinator
      • Review of Reasonable Accommodations and/or Modifications
      • Oversight responsibilities to senior staff review committee
      • Primary liaison to outside fair housing agencies
      • Secure Systems Coordinator
      • provide HUD Training
        • New employee orientation
        • HUD Updates
        • RPM supervisory regulatory training
        • Service Coordinator administrator
        • Contract Renewals
        • Review all documents which are required by HUD to be signed by "Owners" prior to being sent to owners
        • Primary liaison to HUD and Contract Administration regarding HUD regulations
        • Ensure compliance of all work related activities are carried out in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner
        • Represent the Company in a professional, courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
        • Arrive to work on time as scheduled and prepared

          Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or a minimum of 4+ years of related experience/training or a combination of education and experience. Must demonstrate literacy in the English Language including reading and writing.

          Experience: A minimum 4+ years of related experience in property management, HUD compliance.

          Computer Skills: Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and current social networking sites.

          Certificates & Licenses: HCCP, NPCC or equivalent certifications and a valid State issued driver's license.

          Other Requirements: Authorized to work in the United States
