Please review the following job description:This position
provides leadership and drives the successful implementation of the
Enterprise Data Risk Oversight (EDRO) Program in the second line of
defense (2LoD), including management of roles and responsibilities.
It ensures resources, expertise, processes, practices, tools, and
capabilities are effectively aligned to meet the Program's goals
and objectives.This role reports to a Divisional Data Risk Officer
or Enterprise Data Risk Governance Director and collaborates
closely with the first line Enterprise Data, AI & Analytics (EDA)
teams to plan, synchronize activities, and achieve top Program
priorities.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the EDRO Coverage and Operating Model,
including risk advisory, challenge, and independent risk
assessments.
- Engage with key business partners and stakeholders to
communicate EDRO requirements and foster collaboration.
- Contribute to the execution of the EDRO strategic and tactical
plans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies,
standards, and procedures.
- Manage issues and remediation processes aligned with the
Enterprise Issue Management (EIM) Program.
- Oversee data risk reporting and metrics to quantify enterprise
data risks.
- Promote a strong risk culture and proactive risk management
across the enterprise.
- Challenge significant data processes and initiatives prior to
audit validation.
- Provide risk advisory to strengthen data risk controls and
serve as the point of contact within Business Units and Corporate
Functions.Qualifications:Required:
- Bachelor's degree in technology, Data, Business, or
Finance.
- 10+ years of senior management experience in banking,
technology, operations, risk management, or regulatory
agencies.
- 5+ years of experience in data management, governance,
analytics, testing, or risk management.
- Strong leadership, business acumen, management,
problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with risk and controls frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage teams, recruit talent, and allocate resources
effectively.
- Knowledge of Data Management, Analytics, and Data Controls
across supply chains.
- Proven ability to lead in complex, matrixed environments and
manage change effectively.Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Business or Technology.
- Knowledge of data compliance laws and regulations.
- Experience working with third-party vendors.
- Familiarity with GRC platforms like Archer.
