Job Summary: The VP, Executive Director of Unified Communications (UC) Solutions will identify business opportunities for new solutions, drive solution realization from concept through market adoption, collaborate with functional business executives such as Sales, Services, and Marketing, and present regularly to the Solution Approval Committee (SAC), the executive governance committee. We are looking for a high performing and results oriented individual with strong leadership and communication skills. The VP, Executive Director of UC is charismatic and is able to influence multi-functional teams to drive outcomes.
Essential Job Duties: Set vision and milestones for UC solutions Drive key realization, deployment, and partnering decisions Expertly identify and lead the appropriate resources (internal and external) required to develop solutions and execute major initiatives Responsible for identifying and managing a portfolio of UC solutions to achieve revenue and profit goals Provide instructions for Project Manager to track key milestones, budgets and resources Solution Lifecycle Management: Define UC solution strategy and vision Drive solution management from concept, market adoption, to end of life Assess market conditions and advise customers on opportunities to collaborate on strategy/development plans Develop relationships and establish credibility with executives of strategic customers & vendors by demonstrating deep industry and business knowledge; Viewed by customer & vendor executives as a solution provider Lead UC solution roadmap and business case development Evaluate and recommend new vendors with Vendor Management team Advise vendors and resellers on financial decisions Monitor and mitigate solution management risks Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with functional leaders including Sales, Services, Marketing, Vendor Management, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain Identify and engage solution team members Instruct cross-functional team member to drive solution development, launch, enhancement, and end-of-life Act as the single point of contact for any offerings related to UC solutions Communication & Presentation: Lead phase review preparation and present it to SAC and senior management Serve as thought leader, ambassador, and public speaker in the market Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders Reporting Relationships: Position Reports to: North American Business Leader Direct Report: Project Manager of UC Solutions This position works closely with functional leaders and business executives to plan and realize solutions This position has contact at all levels with vendors, customers, co-workers, and senior management Requirements: BA degree or equivalent work experience (12+ years) Minimum of 5 years business development experience, managing $50M+ business Demonstrated leadership skills and executive presence Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and manage multiple projects Exhibit expert level understanding of UC market and technology trends Known as a thought leader and is a seasoned public speaker at UC industry events Ability to leverage Company products, services, tools and relevant technology Excellent team-building acumen Sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and strong problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to travel 30-40% Preferred: MBA degree Prior solution/product management experience P&L experience Extensive end user market experience strongly preferred.
