Overview

  • Responsible for directing and coordinating the overall functions of the company's revenue cycle to ensure compliance with regulations and contracts and to maximize cash flow through the creation of effective, scalable business practices.

    Responsibilities

    Principal Responsibilities and Duties. These statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered a detailed description of work requirements that may be involved.

  • Assist in developing strategic objectives, working closely with internal stakeholders to evaluate and analyze existing systems and processes, and implement improvements that support revenue cycle goals
  • Establish and implement standard metrics to monitor revenue cycle
  • Develop analytics dashboard to produce data for operational and executive leadership including projected cash collection, billing department productivity, write-offs and denials.
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure timely completion of resident insurance verification, prior authorizations and provider credentialing.
  • Work closely with the compliance team on regulatory and credentialing matters impacting revenue cycle processes.
  • Ensures consistent and actionable communication with key operational leaders.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state legal requirements by researching existing and accessing new legislation and by consulting with outside advisors. Completes all regulatory and company documentation and reporting in accordance with established and/or required schedules. Advises management of actions and potential risks.
  • Develop strong relationships with payers and health plans to ensure streamlined resolution and maximized opportunities.
  • Creates and sustains a productive working environment for all direct reports.
  • Continually ensure high ethical standards and commitment to client service excellence.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required.

  • Minimum 5 years of revenue cycle management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Finance or related field.
  • Knowledge of medical billing/coding, with understanding of various payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, private HMAs and commercial payers
  • Excellent analytical skills: strong Excel and general computer application use.
  • Must be able to organize tasks and insure timely completion of all projects.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
