ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL POSITION SUMMARY The RN provides nursing care to patients in compliance with the SC Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Practice and defined by ANA, SFHSC, and organization protocols, policies, procedures and guidelines. Develops,implements, evaluates and revises plan of care based on physical, psychosocial,spiritual, and educational needs of the patient/family. Assesses patient forchanges that may hinder recovery.Collaborates with staff, physicians, and other disciplines to provide quality care delivery. Maintains clinical knowledge and skills competency to facilitate patientcare in accordance with current standards of practice. Provides for a safe patient care environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. 2. Current RN license, or current RN applicant in South Carolina Board of Examiners. An essential function of this position is to comply with BSHSI Policy (******.NUR.001) which requires, as a condition of employment, that all registered nurses with diplomas or associate degrees who apply and are hired after May 1, 2015 complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within five years of start date.
