Job Description:

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel - Cyto Tech

Shift: Days/ 8a-4:30p, 8x5, 40 hrs per week, M-F

Length: 13 Weeks

Requirements:

• 1 year experience
• Experience as required and provided in the training program
• BLS
• ASCP certification
• Qualified Cytotechnologist
• Baccalaureate Degree in Cytotechnology
• Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) South Carolina - No License
  ASCP certification required
  In need of a qualified Cytotechnologist
  Schedule is Monday through Friday 8 -4:30pm.
  Assists the pathologists in the diagnostic cytological assessment of specimens.
  II. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  Performs tasks as specified in competency matrix following requirements of the quality
  management system.
  Maintains an operational knowledge of all equipment in the section.
  Participates in the quality improvement requirements of the laboratory's quality management
  system.
  Demonstrates ability to utilize all applicable information systems.
  Assists with inventory control.
  Assumes responsibility for attaining required continuing education credits annually.
  Assists with training and evaluation of students and newly hired employees as assigned by
  supervisor.
  Assists with test/procedure evaluation, implementation, and maintenance.
  IV. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
  Baccalaureate Degree in Cytotechnology;
  Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists
  (ASCP); Experience as required and provided in the training program.
  
  Others:
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required
  • Locals accepted Unit: Cytotechnologist
