position of Licensed Clinical Professional calls for an individual
with direct experience and skill in assessing and treating
co-occurring disorders including mental illness and substance-use
disorders, as well as, challenges in primary or secondary support
systems. The position of Licensed Clinical Professional includes
active engagement and coordination of care with internal resources
including psychiatry and community support, as well as, external
bodies including the legal system, families, and social support
agencies. The position may call for back-up from the Program
Director and Program Manager and other therapists, when available.
The position requires the individual to be an active and positive
member of a dynamic, treatment team. Based on setting, special
skills and/or work with specific populations may be required. This
individual relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment to provide
quality services with very little supervision and direction. Must
be an individual that holds a license issued by the governing board
regulating a human service profession. Some services may require
additional experience, licensure, or education.RHA Health Services
is recruiting for a Clinical Therapist - Residential Program for
the Mary Benson House. This role provides many opportunities to
hone one's clinical skills in various ways, including but not
limited to: individual and group counseling, treatment planning,
assessments, crisis planning and care coordination with various
agencies within our community.The Mary Benson House is a home-like
setting located in the historic Montford neighborhood near downtown
Asheville. The Mary Benson House provides 24-hour residential
supports and substance use treatment for adult, pregnant and/or
parenting women, and their children from birth to five years old.
Our goal is to ensure that healthy babies are born while helping
mothers move toward recovery and maintain a stable, sober,
independent life with their children. The Mary Benson House serves
Western North Carolina, as well as receives referrals from various
agencies throughout the state of North Carolina.To support the
goals of the mothers at the Mary Benson House, the Clinical
Therapist provides direct care to individuals with psychiatric
and/or substance use disorders in a residential setting ensuring
the safety and well-being of each resident. Our Ideal Clinical
Therapist is caring, patient, and fair while also supporting and
maintaining the therapeutic environment.Pay Range: $52,000.00 -
$55,000.00 per yearAdditional responsibilities of the Behavioral
Health Licensed Clinical Professionals include:Facilitating
relationships and serving as a link between the company, local
agencies and the communityMinimizing the negative effects of
psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence that interfere with
the recipients daily living and personal development, providing
supportive counselingSupporting the client in the development of
various skill building activities, including: daily and community
living skills, socialization skills, adaptation skills, and
behavior and anger managementParticipating in a first responder
on-call system available to consumers and/or his/her natural
support network on a 24/7/365 basis; coordinates first response'
resources according to consumer need and the PCPPerforming case
management functions of linking and arranging for services and
referrals to support recipient's therapeutic needsWorking closely
with other clinical/professional staff to maintain communication
and provide feedback, standardizing procedures, and expediting PCP
implementationEnsuring that all initial and reauthorizations for
services occur in a timely fashionMonitoring utilization of service
to ensure that it is effective, appropriate, and within the limits
set forth in both rule, PCP, and the service
authorizationCoordinating transition to another level/type of care
for the client#HPBHThe ideal Licensed Clinical Professional is a
licensed professional who is an excellent communicator and listener
with strong therapeutic skills who works well as part of an
interdisciplinary team and runs open and productive therapy
sessions. You must also excel at behavioral interviewing techniques
to uncover service user needs and be able to anticipate these
needs.Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the
position include:Graduate degree in Counseling or a related
fieldValid licensure to provide mental/behavioral healthcare in the
state of North CarolinaLicenses include LCMHC, LCSW, LCAS, and
LPC.Provisional licensure is accepted for this role (LCMHCA, LCSWA,
LCASA.)Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals with
behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment that
includes writing person-centered plans, conducting effective group
therapy and providing mental health diagnosesGeneral working
knowledge of the human services delivery system in North
CarolinaValid drivers license, auto insurance, and reliable
transportationAbility to pass a drug screen and background
checkAbility to lift between 20 and 50 pounds and meet the physical
requirements of performing CPR and therapeutic holdsEmployee
supervisory experience preferredExperience with Electronic Medical
Records (EMR) preferredSome services may require additional
experience, licensure, or education.Pre-employment

testingEducation verification and other credentialing based on
