Hiring DepartmentThe University of Missouri School Of Medicine Thompson Center for Autism and NeurodevelopmentJob DescriptionThompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing specialized care for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.Job Duties

• Diagnose and manage common pediatric conditions and developmental disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with parents and caregivers
• Educate families about child development and health maintenance.
• Provide counseling on behavioral issues and developmental challenges.
• Conduct thorough physical and developmental assessments for children.
• Evaluate growth patterns and developmental milestones.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient encounters.
• Monitor and document progress in developmental assessments.
• Share clinical documentation for review by collaborating physician.
• Work closely with pediatricians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain open communication with the collaborating physician for patient care.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Advocate for children's health and development within the community and healthcare settings.
• Participate in community outreach and education programs.ShiftShift Type: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in nursing is required.Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's program or a certificate program.
