Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 18:30 - 07:00 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT or minimum of CRTT Must-Have: Critical care skills/experience for CRTT with 5 years or greater experience as a therapist. Description: Minimum experience of 2 years is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Patient population includes neonates, adults, and geriatrics. Required skills include ABG interpretation, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, flow-by, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, trach collar, high flow nasal cannula, and airway management. Floating within the facility and possibly to additional campuses may be required. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday if it falls within their assignment period. If two major holidays occur, travelers are expected to work both. Travelers are expected to work two of three major holidays if three major holidays occur during the assignment. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to orientation schedule. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed. The weekend schedule includes every other weekend. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and Day. References from two supervisory individuals are highly preferred at the time of submission. Candidates must be available to submit core items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract to ensure an on-time start. Modules completed during orientation vary by specialty and are recorded via transcripts. Orientation consists of 13 hours of non-billable time.
