Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Now Hiring: Labor & Delivery RN | Asheville, NC Start Date: ASAP | 12-Hour Day Shifts | 36 Hours/Week Estimated Weekly Gross: ~$2,100 (based on experience) Are you a skilled Labor & Delivery RN ready to bring your expertise to a leading healthcare facility in the scenic city of Asheville, North Carolina? Position Highlights: - Unit: Labor and Delivery - Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Day shifts) - Hours: 36 hours per week - Duration: 13 weeks - Location: Asheville, NC Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience - Experience with high-risk obstetrics - Proven experience in immediate newborn care - Advanced fetal monitoring required - Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment ? Preferred Experience: - Circulating experience in the OR - Familiar with procedures including: - Vaginal deliveries - Cesarean sections - D&C - Cerclage - C-Hyst Requirements: - Active RN license – North Carolina or Compact state - Certifications: - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - BLS/ALS - Advanced Fetal Monitoring (Certifications must be through AHA, American Health & Safety, or Red Cross) - EMR: Cerner Additional Details: - Unit Size: 16 beds | ~120 team members - Staffing Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity - Equipment: Baxter pumps, Phillips electronic fetal monitoring - Floating: - Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit (MFMU) - Mother/Baby Unit (MOMB) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Important Submission Guidelines: - No local travelers – candidates must live 50 miles (straight-line radius) from the facility - Time-off requests must be submitted with the initial profile – requests made after acceptance will not be approved - Submit the following for consideration: - Resume - Two professional references (one from current manager) - Completed skills checklist / competency assessment If you're looking to work in a respected, high-acuity environment surrounded by the natural beauty of Asheville, NC — apply today and take the next step in your L&D travel career!
