Job Title: Cardiac Cath Tech Profession: Allied Specialty: Cardiac Cath Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience required License: BLS, ACLS, ARRT-R or RCIS Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT-R or RCIS Must-Have: Experience in Vascular with Endograft experience preferred Description: This position requires a Cardiac Cath Tech to work in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The facility has a total of 874 licensed beds and is recognized as a Level I Trauma and Teaching Hospital. The unit includes 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms. The tech will support procedures for various patient types, including Cardiac NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, and vascular cases. Most procedures involve lower extremity angiograms and EVAR and TEVAR cases. The expected patient ratio for techs is 1:1. It is essential to have prior experience in Cath Lab, with a preference for experience in interventional radiology or labs with vascular surgeons. The support within the department includes a traffic flow coordinator, charge nurse, IV/VAT team, ECMO team, and code team. Electronic Medical Records are managed using EPIC, and the hemodynamic monitoring involves Merge Hemo. Technological equipment includes monitors from leading manufacturers and med dispensing systems. Weekend rotation involves working every 5th weekend, and on-call duty is once every week. Travelers are expected to cover each other's requested time off, and must participate in holiday coverage as applicable. The unit culture is acknowledged as great, fostering a positive work environment. Scrub color is green, and scrubs are provided.
