Adolescent Medicine Specialist Greenville, SC Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a full time BC/BE Adolescent Medicine Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team. Prisma Health Adolescent Medicine is dedicated to the comprehensive care of adolescents and young adults (AYA) 10-25yo. Being the only free-standing AYA practice in South Carolina, >2000 patients receive care at our division for a vast array of concerns, including: - Eating Disorders - LGBTQIA Care (including comprehensive transgender medical care) - AYA Mental Health (including psychopharmacologic management) - Acne Management (including Accutane) - Menstrual Health - Reproductive Health - Sexual Health - HIV, PrEP, and PEP care - Inpatient Consultation Ideal Candidate will: - Demonstrate commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion with experience fostering an inclusive environment, engaging in ongoing professional development, and working as part of a learning community with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, educational background, languages spoken, socioeconomic status, and geography, among others. - Be board eligible or board certified in Adolescent Medicine - Have experience and interest in management of eating disorders across the spectrum of disease, in addition to the clinical care noted above - Be interested in medical/resident/fellow trainee education - Show compassion, integrity, and empathy in the care of medically and socially complex AYA - Be able to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff from a diversity of backgrounds Details: - Academic appointment at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine - Greenville commensurate with experience - No Weekend In-House Call obligations - Opportunity for career advancement within the system, both in terms of research and administrative appointments - All the fun and excitement Greenville SC has to offer, including unique food experiences, outdoor activities, and cultural events.
