Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at MAiken Bright Futures
evaluates, diagnoses, and provides speech-language and swallowing
therapy services to clients in the home setting as prescribed by an
attending physician. The SLP treats individuals with communication,
speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing
disorders, including those related to developmental delays,
neurological conditions, and acquired injuries. Services are
delivered using evidence-based practices while maintaining
compliance with licensure, insurance, and ethical standards.
Essential Responsibilities Evaluation & Treatment Conduct
comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing
evaluations in the home Review physician orders, medical history,
and referral documentation Develop individualized treatment plans
with measurable goals Provide direct speech-language therapy
services in accordance with the plan of care Address disorders
including articulation, expressive/receptive language, social
communication, fluency, voice, swallowing, and neurologically based
communication impairments Modify treatment plans based on client
progress and clinical need Documentation & Compliance Complete
evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge
summaries in a timely manner Ensure documentation meets payer,
regulatory, and company requirements Maintain compliance with
HIPAA, state regulations, and professional standards Family &
Interdisciplinary Collaboration Educate and coach caregivers on
treatment goals and strategies Communicate professionally with
families regarding progress and recommendations Collaborate with
other providers (e.g., ABA, OT, physicians, educators) as
appropriate Professional & Ethical Standards Adhere to ASHA Code of
Ethics and MAiken Bright Futures policies Maintain client safety
and professional boundaries in all home settings Report safety
concerns, incidents, or changes in client status promptly Required
Qualifications Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an
accredited program Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in
the State of Employment Valid state drivers license Current
automobile liability insurance Dependable transportation maintained
in good working condition Ability to drive in all weather
conditions Compliance with seat belt and safe driving requirements
Preferred Qualifications Experience providing in-home speech
therapy Experience with pediatric and/or neurologically involved
populations Experience collaborating on interdisciplinary teams
Physical & Work Requirements Ability to travel to client homes
Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and actively engage during sessions
