a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Augusta, Georgia, 30912! Job

care preferred License: RN - Registered Nurse (Single State or
Multi-state Compact) Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support or

management skills. Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a
proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and
unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and
significant others receive individualized, high-quality, and safe
patient care. They practice in a clinical environment administered
by Nurse Managers and supported through a shared governance model.
The framework for practice is guided by a professional practice
model and evidence-based practice and research. All RN Clinical
Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of
nursing as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act. They
implement the scope of practice and code of ethics standards put
forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the
patient services team, they uphold the voice of the patient and
system policies while supporting service excellence goals. Core
responsibilities include performing the nursing process
(assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning,
implementation, and evaluation) in clinical care. They use
evidence-based practice, analytical and critical thinking, ensuring
that care is individualized. They coordinate care through effective
partnerships, recognizing that caring is central to achieving
optimal patient care outcomes. The RN Clinical Nurse provides
relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with
population-specific characteristics, adapting service delivery to
reflect an understanding of cultural diversity. They partner with
patients and significant others, utilizing appropriate methods for
setting and purpose. They practice using current clinical standards
to coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality
patient care. Teamwork and collaboration are essential, including
interdisciplinary communication methods and timely documentation.
They demonstrate fiscal responsibility and promote recruitment and
retention of all healthcare team members. Participation and support
of performance improvement initiatives are expected, including
initiating and leading activities that promote safe, quality
patient care. They complete all initial and ongoing competency
assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific
education. Serving as a preceptor or mentor for other professional
nurses is expected to ensure a qualified workforce while modeling
professional nursing practice. The RN Clinical Nurse promotes
evidence-based practice and engages in nursing research and
performance improvement. They participate in data collection and
consult appropriate experts for clinical questions. Planning for
patient care across the continuum is part of the direct patient
care role. They support the use of human and material resources
