Job Title: RN Clinical Agency Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Inpatient Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum experience in direct patient care preferred License: RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support or equivalent Must-Have: Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) Required certifications upon hire Description: The RN Clinical Agency Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. This role involves practicing in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders. Support is provided through a shared governance model. The practice framework is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based practices. The nurse will uphold the standards of nursing as outlined by the state nurse practice act. They will implement the scope of practice and ethical standards set forth by a recognized nursing association. As part of the patient services team, the nurse will prioritize the voice of the patient while following system policies. The core responsibilities include the following: Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: Perform the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Utilize evidence-based practice in clinical care, applying analytical and critical thinking skills to ensure individualized care. Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that considers population-specific characteristics. Collaborate with patients and significant others using appropriate methods for updates on care and goals. Practice in accordance with current clinical practice standards. Teamwork and Collaboration: Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe and quality patient care. Engage in diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods. Document care in a timely manner and promote a respectful, inclusive work environment. Contribute to performance improvement initiatives involving all stakeholders. Support and participate in research and shared governance processes. Professional Development and Initiative: Complete all required professional competency assessments and ongoing education. Act as a preceptor or mentor to other nurses and staff to foster a qualified workforce. Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Promote evidence-based practice and nursing research. Participate in activities that evaluate patient care products and support decision-making processes. Adhere to all organizational policies, legal and regulatory standards.
