Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Preferred experience with direct patient care License: RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support or equivalent Must-Have: Ability to read, write, and speak English; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to function in a fast-paced environment; excellent time management skills; and strong critical thinking skills. Description: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They ensure that patients and families receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. The clinical environment is administered by Nurse Managers and supported through a shared governance model. The RN's practice is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice and research. All RN Clinical Nurses are licensed and knowledgeable, upholding the practice of nursing as outlined by the relevant professional standards. As a member of the patient services team, individuals uphold patient voice and system policies while supporting service excellence goals. Core responsibilities include performing the nursing process with analytical and critical thinking. Care delivery is individualized, reflecting an understanding of cultural diversity. RN Clinical Nurses partner with patients and their significant others, ensuring effective communication and updates on care plans. They coordinate safe quality patient care and promote an inclusive clinical environment. Participation in performance improvement and research is expected to enhance patient care.
