Must-Have: Experience with telemetry and medical surgical diagnoses
Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6 Description: The position
requires a minimum of 1 year of experience. First-time travelers
are accepted. The patient population ranges from adolescents to
geriatrics. Candidates will be required to work every other weekend
unless specified otherwise. Floating within the facility and scope
of practice may be required as needed. There are no call
requirements associated with this position. If one major holiday
falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to
work it. For two major holidays, the traveler is expected to work
both holidays. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is
expected to work two of those holidays. The following are
considered major holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor
Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as one), Christmas
Eve/Christmas Day (counts as one), New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day
(counts as one). Compliance with requirements is necessary to
ensure a timely start. There is a maximum of 7 days for requested
time off. Requests for time off over major holidays may not be
guaranteed. This role includes responsibilities related to various
nursing skills such as telemetry, IV management, wound care, and
oxygen administration. Candidates must be able to work effectively
in a medical surgical unit setting. Preferred qualifications
include supervisory references. Local candidates are accepted at
