Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This position involves assisting our physical therapists in providing treatments that help improve patients' mobility and alleviate pain in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. As part of our integrated healthcare services team, you will play a critical role in helping patients achieve optimal recovery outcomes, utilizing the latest therapeutic technologies and methodologies. Assist physical therapists in the implementation of patient therapy programs. Observe and report on patient progress. Help manage therapeutic equipment and assist with patient exercises and activities. Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and safety regulations. Document patient interventions and outcomes for clinical records. Educate patients and families on post-therapy care procedures. Strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and practices Ability to handle physical demands of the role, such as moving or assisting patients Observational and documentation skills Capability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant State License CPR certification
