Mammography Tech Location: Asheville, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,200 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Mammography Tech Profession: Radiology Specialty: Mammography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:30 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 9 Experience: 2 years License: Current ARRT Mammography certification Certifications: BLS certification Must-Have: - Screening mammogram experience - Competent in additional imaging views such as magnification and spot compression views - Experience in advanced mammography imaging - Fully confident and competent in demonstrating and showing complicated mammographic cases Description: This position involves working in a large breast center with an average of 10 technicians on-site per day. The average patient volume is 38 patients per day for screening mammograms and 18 patients for diagnostic procedures. Competency in performing stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical localizations, and contrast-enhanced mammography is required. Documentation systems in use include Cerner and Penrad. Technicians must have IV certification and be competent in invasive and sterile procedures. The role requires floating to other breast centers as needed. Candidates should be mindful of women with a history of cancer and treatment, including lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. Technical skills in advanced imaging techniques are essential. Candidates are also responsible for staying current with continuing education in mammography and adhering to the MQSA standards for training and documentation.
