Physician (MD) - Neurological Surgery

Job Details:

• PRN position with ongoing coverage needs including upcoming holidays
• 
  
• Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) provide first call coverage
• 
  
• Average of 3 patient encounters per shift
• 
  
• 5-bed department capacity
• 
  
• Board certification required with minimum certified status
• 
  
• Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
• 
  
• General neurosurgery experience required for adult patients
• 
  
• Preferred experience in cerebrovascular procedures (open and endovascular)
• 
  
• Preferred skills in carotid/vertebral artery surgery and aneurysm clipping
• 
  
• Tumor surgery experience preferred, including neuroendocrine procedures
• 
  
• Stereotactic radiosurgery and functional neurosurgery experience preferred
• 
  
• VP shunt and skull base surgery experience preferred
• 
  
• Spinal surgery capabilities preferred (cervical, thoracic, lumbar) with and without instrumentation
• 
  
• Peripheral nerve surgery and pain procedures experience preferred
• 
  
• Endovascular procedures and ICP monitor placement skills preferred
• 
  
• Experience with external traction application, ventilator management, and central line placement preferred
