Job DescriptionVillage Kitchen, a new cafe and restaurant
concept within the Hartness community, is actively searching for an
energetic, customer-focused, and highly motivated Restaurant
Manager to join our team.This is a full time, salaried position.
Wage: $50-55K per year. Weekend availability is required. About
Us:Hartness Living, the Greenville area's most exciting and
architecturally stunning traditional neighborhood development, will
be home to a new hospitality collection managed by Hay Creek
Hotels. The Hartness community offers a full-service elevated café,
Village Kitchen, which opened Spring of 2021. With something for
everyone, from a latte and avocado toast to go, to a lady's lunch
turned happy hour, Village Kitchen offers a southern, wood-fired
inspired menu with the convenience of casual dine in or take-out
three meal periods a day.Hotel Hartness will open Fall of 2022 with
73 luxury suites, meeting and event space, and world-class luxury
spa. Guest rooms will be well appointed with a fresh and modern
motif, offering several different suite configurations designed to
appeal to a wide variety of audiences. The hotel will also include
two levels of indoor and outdoor meeting and conference space
options, featuring large ballroom that can host up to 300 guests.
The hotel will also feature a luxurious spa designed and managed by
WTS International. With six treatment rooms and a comprehensive
menu of unique and creative treatments, the spa will truly be
something never offered before in the Greenville area.Just a short
walk from the main hotel will be the hotel's restaurant, Patterson,
opening Fall 2022. With a wrap-around porch and floor to ceiling
windows, diners will enjoy waterside dining next to the tranquil
and serene pond setting. The heart of the restaurant will be an
exposition kitchen that will prepare a variety of locally and

- Responsible for management of food & beverage department
operations and staff, reporting directly to the F&B
Director.
- Directly manage a segment of service staff to include; hiring,
training, coaching, reviews, discipline, motivation, scheduling,
and more.
- Create and maintain relationships with clients and guests in
our restaurant, bar, room service and banquet areas, with a strong
passion to elevate one's dining experience. Act as a liaison
between the F&B team and the guests to provide a truly
wonderful and memorable experience.
- Creating and maintaining an exceptional guest experience while
motivating and training our staff that offers a 'Delight and
Surprise' atmosphere. Leads the team to ensure outstanding internal
and external customer service standards.
- Assists F&B Director with entire Employment Process to
include; creative recruitment, interviews, references, hiring,
training & development of staff.
- Manage positive Employee Relations Standards and enforce all
SOP's that include; effective communication venues, coaching,
counseling, evaluating, hiring & training of staff.
- Work daily/nightly management shifts supervising all F&B
operations while working the floor, greeting guests, touching
tables, assisting in expediting, checking in with banquet staff,
and stepping into all active roles to support your staff.
- Work with F&B Director on budgets, scheduling, forecasting,
inventory, expenses, promotions and systems and controls for all
F&B departments.
- Creates a fun, energetic and team oriented working environment
for entire staff.
- Supervises all; health, sanitation, safety and security, laws,
policies and procedures in all F&B departments/hotel.
- Maintain all Point of Sale (POS) systems to include; updating
pricing, making adjustments, enter specials, maintain counts, use

- 2+ years of recent Restaurant Management Operations
experience.
- Be willing to become the 'face' of the Restaurant with our
guests as well as in the local community
- Able to expedite, greet and host guests, and act as a server as
needed
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with instinctive computer
skills
- Proven ability to control costs pursuant to the annual
operating budget.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
- Proven training, communication, leadership and financial
management skills
- Ability to multitask, adapt to change, think quickly and
prioritize effectively in a fast paced and demanding environment
while maintaining calmness, composure, and hospitality
- Must have flexibility with schedule to include evenings and
weekends.
- Ability to furnish appropriate state mandated certifications
(TIPS, ServSafe, CPR, Allergy Awareness, etc.)
