Job SummaryProvides strategic and tactical direction for payroll systems across Prisma Health. Leads projects for any and all payroll systems/application implementation, modifications and new functionality across Prisma Health.


  • Provides strategic and tactical direction for payroll systems. Leads projects for any and all payroll systems/application implementation.
  • MANAGEMENT/LEADERSHIP: Reinforces the organization's core values and behavioral expectations through modelling, communication and coaching. Selects, trains/orients, makes assignments, and evaluates performance of direct reports, and recommends personnel actions. May perform work of a similar nature to those supervised in order to ensure timely and accurate employee data processing.
  • Provides system training, documentation and job aids/reference materials and implementation support for use of Payroll and Timekeeping systems.
  • Responsible for system analysis, modifications and interfaces for the Workday Payroll, Workforce Central Time and Attendance system and Kronos Advanced Scheduler.
  • In collaboration with the Payroll Manager, ensures FLSA and state and wage and hour compliance for all earnings and deductions.
  • Ensures new system functionality is introduced and documented in a comprehensive, professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborates with payroll operations, outside vendors and ITS to coordinate new system processing relating to Workday payroll and Kronos time and attendance, such as acquisition integrations, company-wide policy changes for timekeeping.
  • Oversees updates to Payroll and Timekeeping systems, ensures accurate payroll calculations and tax withholding.

    Minimum Education

    Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources, Business, Computer Science or closely related field

    Minimum Experience

    5 years of payroll or systems experience; management experience preferred

    Other Required Experience

    • Workday - Required
    • Proficient in advanced EXCEL - Required
    • Experience managing projects including system integration, data reporting/analysis and system upgrades/implementations. - Required
    • Highly developed HR and Payroll system analytical skills - Required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Required
    • Knowledge of time and attendance systems - Preferred
