Job Description:

Structure: The Human Resources / Benefits Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources with insurance/benefits and with the clerical administrative tasks for human resources, in accordance with this position description.

The assistant shall report to the Director of Human Resources.

Goals: The Human Resources / Benefits Coordinator is responsible for assisting in moving the firm toward the following goals:

--- Coordination of insurance and employee benefit plans.
--- Reduction of clerical activities performed by management.
--- Increase support provided by administrative client and employee activities.

Essential Functions:
--- Assist the CAO in the administration, implementation, and communication of all benefit plan information to include insurance applications process, benefit renewals, enrollment, eligibility, mid-year changes, and claims resolution.
--- Assist in the 401(k) Program to include participation in the investment committee, coordination of the semi-annual Vanguard meetings and new employee enrollment.
--- Assist in preparation of annual total compensation statements.
--- Coordinate employee wellness program initiatives.
--- Coordinate benefits communication strategy and scheduling.
--- Coordinate Worker's Compensation Program.
--- Audit employee elections to benefit carriers records to ensure accurate maintenance of benefits.
--- Reconciliation of monthly billing statements.
--- Conduct monthly audits of benefit deductions and funding for FSAs and HSAs, working with payroll as necessary.
--- Assist with all benefit related audits, both internal and external, when necessary.
--- Maintain procedure manuals for Human Resources and Benefits administration.
--- Adhoc HR or Benefits reports via PlanSource.
--- Assist management with weekly time sheet approvals for payroll administration.
--- Assist management with organization of employee community/recognition and all events activities.
--- File creation and maintenance of employee personnel and benefit/insurance files.
--- Other duties or projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:
--- Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred.
--- 2+ years HR/Employee Benefits experience.
--- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, WC, and ACA.
--- Working knowledge of federal and state laws regarding benefits, i.e., ERISA, Sec. 125, COBRA
--- Strict confidentiality.
--- Time Management Skills - ability to work independently as well as with a team.
--- Problem Solving Skills - ability to gather and analyze large volumes of data.
--- Interpersonal Skills
--- Communication Skills - responds to inquiries quickly, professionally and understanding. -Ability to read and interpret information accurately.
--- Organizational Skills - keep work area neat and organized, files are maintained neatly and easily accessible when needed. -Ability to organize, manage and prioritize numerous projects/tasks.
--- Teamwork - Willingness to help others and share knowledge and skills.
--- Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management initiatives. Willingness to work additional hours when necessary.
--- Initiative - Works independently and asks and offers help when necessary.
