**Job Description Summary**Role Summary:In this role you will be responsible for Machine Learning Ops (MLOps) as part of a larger DevOps team. You will focus on growing, maintaining, and supporting a framework to deploy Machine Learning models to solve engineering problems. You may also participate in building ML models. You will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to design discussions. This role will support both military and commercial applications, including Aviation engines, Gas and Steam turbines.**Job Description****Essential Responsibilities:**You will:+ Lead Machine Learning Ops (MLOps) as part of a larger DevOps team+ Participate in establishing code and ML Model quality best practices and implementing checks thru unit testing and code quality frameworks.+ Be an expert in assessing code and ML Model performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices.+ Be an expert in core data structures and Machine Learning algorithms and have the ability to implement them using the language of choice+ Work with Product/Domain Leaders to understand product requirements & contribute to the vision+ Work with stakeholders to identify the cost, benefit, and scope of features and help with prioritization+ Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and communicate technical ideas to a varied audience (IT, Software Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Leadership).+ Execute in a fast pace environment and be open to experimenting with several technologies then down selecting to focus on delivering tasks to meet the product release goal+ Demonstrate understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle and the ability to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.+ Understand the whole product / framework, its modules, and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module+ Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality using testing.**Qualifications/Requirements:**+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience)+ Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in software development+ Good understanding of Python and Python Libraries+ Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills+ Strong cross-functional (IT/Engineering), teaming, and communication skills+ Location where work needs to be performed is Greenville, SC (Preferred), Cincinnati, OH, or Lynn, MA+ Consideration of alternate / remote work arrangements will be given for highly qualified candidate**Desired Characteristics:**+ Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift+ Experience with Cloud Platforms and Technologies including AWS, S3, Boto+ General understanding of DevOps and CI/CD and relevant tools+ Experience with NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, etc+ Experience in Data Science, Analytics, Probabilistic Design, Machine Learning+ Experience with Numpy, Pandas, Scipy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow+ Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment+ Knowledge of basic, fundamental numerical methods in linear algebra and numerical analysis+ Engineering expertise or a willingness to learn+ General familiarity of CAD, FEM, or CFD software: ANSYS, CFX, Fluent, NX, etc_This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
