Job Description:
Looking for a architect-level software developer ready for a new
challenge in a fast-paced environment with the following skills: C
or C++ programming skills along with Perl and Python knowledge with
strong communication skills, analytical skills, and a thorough
understanding of product development and product management
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for
databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the
software engineering division, you will take an active role in the
definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.
Define specifications for significant new projects and specify,
design and develop software according to those specifications. You
will perform professional software development tasks associated
with the developing, designing and debugging of software
applications or operating systems. Provide leadership and expertise
in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently
operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and
justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS
or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
8 or more years of software engineering or related experience. This
is a unique opportunity to work on the Autonomous Database Cloud
Service and Oracle Database Product, which is the flagship Database
Cloud Service and software offering from Oracle. In this position,
you will have the opportunity to influence the day-to-day product
development, and help produce high-quality software used by
thousands of customers for their critical systems. The Database
Release Management group is looking for an experienced software
developer who will be responsible for discovering and solving
challenges in the Database product development process. This is a
position with a lot of visibility, and plays a critical role in
helping thousands of Oracle software developers to create database
software that plays a large role in Oracle's portfolio of products.
The candidate's primary responsibilities are to diagnose, debug,
and resolve bugs during the daily database development process, and
to improve the overall quality and stability of the development
environment through enhancements to the internal tools that are
