following job description: The Senior Director – Audit AI Strategy
& Enablement is responsible for defining, leading, and executing
Truist Audit Services’ enterprise AI vision, strategy, and
operating model. This role provides strategic leadership to advance
the use of artificial intelligence and automation across TAS while
ensuring responsible AI use, strong governance, and alignment with
Truist’s risk management and regulatory expectations. The Senior
Director serves as the AI leader for Internal Audit, accountable
for translating emerging AI capabilities into scalable, secure, and
compliant audit solutions that enhance audit quality, efficiency,
and insight. This role partners closely with Audit Executive
Leadership, Professional Practices, Technology, Data, Enterprise AI
Governance, and second line risk functions, and provides thought
leadership to senior stakeholders and the Audit Committee as
needed. AI Strategy & Value Creation • Lead and maintain the multi
year Audit AI strategy and roadmap aligned with TAS and enterprise
AI priorities. • Identify and prioritize high impact AI and
analytics use cases across the audit lifecycle. • Define value
measures for AI adoption, including quality, efficiency, coverage,
and risk outcomes. • Advise TAS leadership on emerging AI
capabilities, risks, and regulatory trends. AI Governance, Risk &
Responsible Use • Oversee TAS AI governance aligned with enterprise
model risk, privacy, cybersecurity, and third party risk standards.
• Establish and enforce controls for responsible AI use, including
documentation, validation, and monitoring. • Ensure AI applications
reinforce auditor judgment and compliance with internal audit
standards. • Partner with risk functions to identify and mitigate
AI related risks. Solution Delivery & Operational Integration •
Oversee the full lifecycle of AI initiatives—from ideation and
pilots to scaling and integration. • Partner with Technology and
Data teams to implement well controlled, auditable AI solutions. •
Maintain AI standards, playbooks, and approved usage guidance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Identify and assess
opportunities to apply AI and emerging technologies that improve
processes, decision?making, and business unit outcomes. 2.
Contribute to the evaluation of AI use cases by helping clarify
business objectives, desired outcomes, and considerations for
feasibility and value. 3. Coordinate with enterprise TD&O and
Risk partners to align on solution approach, feasibility, and
implementation needs. 4. Support the integration of AI tools into
business workflows by coordinating with enterprise teams and
assisting with user readiness, training, and adoption activities.
5. Provide business context and user insights to enterprise
partners to inform solution refinement and ongoing enhancements. 6.
Ensure AI use within the business unit aligns with enterprise
policies, standards, governance expectations, and responsible AI
principles. 7. Maintain visibility into active AI tools and use
cases within the business unit and help ensure consistency with
approved practices. 8. Support AI awareness efforts by sharing
available resources and reinforcing existing responsible?use
guidance across the business unit. 9. Monitor AI use within the
business unit and escalate issues or risks to the appropriate
partners, including support for required reviews. Required
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of

Business, Technology, Analytics, or a related field 2. 10 years of
experience in Data Analytics and/or Data Intelligence 3.
Familiarity with AI and GenAI concepts and their practical
applications in business processes 4. Experience supporting
technology?enabled or analytics?driven initiatives in a large
organization 5. Ability to translate business needs into clear AI
use cases and partner with technical teams on solution delivery 6.
Understanding of responsible AI practices, data protection, and
basic governance considerations 7. Strong communication skills with
the ability to explain AI?related topics to senior leadership 8.
Experience influencing cross?functional stakeholders and supporting
organizational change Preferred Qualifications: 1. Advanced degree
2. 10 years of experience in Data Analytics and/or Data
Intelligence with emphasis in Internal Audit 3. Experience
designing, governing, or enabling AI, advanced analytics, or
automation solutions 4. Familiarity with GenAI concepts,
limitations, and risk themes (e.g., data privacy, bias,
explainability, third party risk) 5. Experience integrating
technology capabilities into business methodologies or professional
practices 6. Experience working with enterprise AI governance or
