Job Description:
Responsibilities PURPOSE OF POSITION: To properly maintain
production equipment and materials. This job is differentiated from
the general Maintenance Technician by no repair of equipment, only
preventive maintenance. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL JOB
DUTIES): • Performs daily, weekly and monthly preventive
maintenance tasks of production equipment in assigned department •
Complete lift/hoist inspections • Communicate with Maintenance on
critical issues to ensure the systems run according to
specifications • Use and conduct proper care of PPE • Repair or
correct safety concerns • Support RCI events • Clean equipment and
work areas to enhance housekeeping (5S) • Use computer to look up
any necessary information required to perform job duties. •
Maintain daily time records • Follow established safety and quality
policies, procedures, and practices • Job duties may vary by
location EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: • High School
Diploma/GED required. • Ability to read, write, and comprehend
required. • Basic computer usage knowledge required. • Experience
in assigned department (Assembly, Fabrication) required. • Basic
electrical knowledge preferred. • Previous preventive maintenance
experience preferred. CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING • Forklift
certification or ability to obtain certification required. •
Lockout/Tagout training WORK ENVIRONMENT Varies at each location,
but could be extreme hot or cold, depending upon weather
conditions. Job tasks may be inside or outside. Electrical hazards,
elevated surfaces, moving objects, chemical or dust, mechanical
hazards, vibrations and noise Handling of sharp surfaces. Weld

Frequent standing and walking required to perform duties.
Occasionally has to walk a maximum distance of 600 ft. Maximum

larger pieces of equipment that require maintenance. Frequent
lifting of various components or materials weighing a maximum 50
lbs. during installation and re-work. Frequent kneeling, stooping,

force occasionally, or 25 to 50 lbs. of force frequently, or 10 to
20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Occasionally has to
work at heights in excess of 25 feet. Frequent reaching, handling
