Position Summary:The Senior Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for independently utilizing data management concepts and advanced analytics skills and efficiency by turning data into timely, accurate and actionable information. The Senior Financial Analyst will make recommendations for improving efficiency, quality and enterprise value based on their analysis and will prepare professional presentations of analytic findings and recommendations as required.I. Position Responsibilities: EssentialCore duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Performs analysis for the budgeting and forecasting processes including the review of operating budgets and forecasts to analyze trends affecting company needs.Assists in the maintenance and design of the Budgeting and Forecasting system including developing ideas for improved forecasting accuracy and evaluation of financial performance against forecasted results.Responsible for the preparation of regular and ad hoc budget, forecast and analytical reports and the review of reports prepared by other FP and accounting team members.Interprets budget and forecast directives and helps to establish policies for carrying out directives.Partners with pricing and accounting teams to update reporting and analytics associated with net new businessSupports account management teams through preparation and maintenance of onboarding schedules and labor analytics reportsInterprets and summarizes professional service agreement contracts correctly to ensure proper budgeting and forecasting of revenue and cost of sales.Tracks key hospital partner information to be shared with Data Analytics department and other OBHG team members.Assists in month end close, quarter end and year end reporting. Supports certain accounting duties as needed.Responsible for performing special projects as assigned.II. Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/EducationBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.At least five years of financial analysis experience.Strong analytical and software skills.Attention to detail.The ability to multitask in a fast-paced, frequently changing, high growth work environment.Effective Communication skills (written and verbal) - must be able to communicate findings and recommendations to all organizational levels in a professional manner.Language skills - ability to prepare financial summary reports, presentations and business correspondence Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, co-workers, customers, etc.Strong Research and Analytical skills - ability to analyze data and provide a clear explanation of financial results is critical to this role.Computer skills - knowledge of Financial Planning software, Excel (formulas/functions, pivots, and graphs), Powerpoint and Word Processing software (preferably Microsoft products). Ability to communicate with Financial Planning vendor to expand modeling, forecasting and reporting capabilities from the existing system.Reasoning ability - the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Time Management skills - ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple concurrent priorities.Ability to work independently and succeed in a team environment.III. Preferred Skills/Credentials/Experience/EducationExperience with financial system software design and maintenance preferred.Ability to understand drivers behind financial results in order to prepare meaningful presentations for management, executive leadership and investors.A motivated self-starter with management potential Mental and Physical Demands (per ADA guidelines)Physical Demands: Sitting for long periods of time. Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the timeTravel Demands:May require up to 10% of time traveling to conferences and/or other professional development events.
