Paralegal - Intellectual PropertyMichelin, the Worldwide leader in Tires, is hiring!- - - - - - - - - - - -Michelin is searching for a Paralegal in our Intellectual Property Law team. As an IP Paralegal, you would be responsible for contributing administratively to the acquisition of Intellectual Property (Patents, Industrial Designs, Trademarks and Domain Names) and the management and maintenance while also providing the necessary assistance to Patents Engineers / Lawyers during the filing period and obtaining and maintaining rights. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the monitoring and management of statutory deadlines, docketing for Patents Engineers / Lawyers, processing tasks in a timely manner, traceability procedures, protection and data encryption.Responsibilities:In compliance with the legal rules governing intellectual property rights:Prepare and review forms such as Application Data Sheets, Information Disclosure Statements, Assignments Power of Attorneys, and paperwork necessary for procuring and maintaining patent assets.File PCT and national/regional stage applications via WIPO, USPTO and outside counsel.Analyze incoming correspondence and docket information in the database.Communicate with outside counsel and agents, including requesting translations and writing letters of instruction.Perform queries for the proper management of patent deadlines and necessary tasks.Record and validate for payment invoices from outside counsel.Process unsolicited outside submissions.Ensure proper document management rules are followed.Generate docket reports.Be proactive in maintaining his/her legal knowledge.Requirements:2+ years of legal experience in the Intellectual Property field is a plusValid Paralegal CertificateAbility to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
