Be the difference.Job Summary Maintains Customer Service telephone lines, requesting claims, medical records & EOB's as needed to completely resolve all issues on accounts and any other duties as assigned. Coordinates collections of delinquent unpaid accounts. Maintains and fosters effective public relations with patients and public in accordance with Standards of Behavior Accountabilities Maintains phone lines, assuring an abandon rate of less than 1.5%, 98 % of the time. Assures calls are handled utilizing Standard Responses and practicing HIPAA standard, 100% of the time. Updates demographic and insurance information on all accounts, with an accuracy rate of 98%. Requests claims, medical records, EOB's and insurance information, utilizing all necessary forms per Procedural Guidelines to assure proper processing of account, within 48 hours, 100% of the time. Mails/faxes all correspondence needed to complete account resolution, within 48 hours 100% of time. Identifies delinquent accounts. Evaluates patient financial status, researches and determines payment options based on Procedural Guidelines. Makes determination as to appropriate payment plan deviations, extending payments up to 12 months with no additional approval needed. Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints, making determination as to whether issue needs to be elevated to Management. Identifies and requests account adjustments per EOB information and Procedural Guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.Minimum Requirements Education - High School diploma or equivalent Experience - 2 years Billing or Customer Service experience in a Clinical Office setting.Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses n/aIn Lieu Of The Minimum Requirements Listed Above Bachelor Degree in Business, Health Administration, Finance, or Accounting and 1 year of the above stated experienceOther Required Skills and Experience Call Center experience preferred Basic computer skills Knowledge of office equipment Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets) Data entry Mathematical skills Work Shift Day (United States of America) Location Independence Pointe Facility 1093 University Medical Group Administration Department 10939112 Physician Business Office Share your talent with us!
