Site Information Engineer (Experienced Level Professional)Michelin, the Worldwide leader in Tires, is hiring!- - - - - - - - - - - -Mission: To Maintain infrastructure computer hardware and software applications and participate in their implementation or evolution. Manage daily review of production tickets and resolutions with the use of corporate ticket tracking help desk system. Develop and support maintenance of specific computer applications written in Microsoft technology tools.Responsibilities: Installs operating system updates and safety patches in compliance with company cyber security policyManage Incidents, Problems and Changes from initial ticket request to end solutionParticipate in the on-call emergency support 24x7 supporting manufacturing applicationsManage application software source code and documentationsEnsures availability, performance and security for manufacturing applicationsEnsure a proper level of monitoring and alarming of manufacturing systemsAdminister user and group access rights with Microsoft Active Directory applicationsSupport and manage the inventory of computer hardware and network systemsSupport Dell Computer Cluster and Storage systemsParticipates in preparation and testing for computer disaster recovery systemsPrepares and executes backup/restore, performance/load and intrusion tests before a new middleware's Go LiveManage local area network of CISCO switches and troubleshoot network connectivity incidentsInstall and terminate network cables and plugsApply and follow implementation of IS security rules in plantsInstall new services, client applications, software and hardware according to user needs and standardsManage maintenance of existing local applications for PC (Access, Excel...) according to technical standardsMicrosoft Server Operating system installation and troubleshootingVMware server Virtualization installation and supportQualifications:Bachelor's in Computer Science or related degree and/or proven equivalent experienceMust be willing to work onsite only, no virtual workMust be willing to follow plant safety and operation procedures (safety shoes and glasses)Advanced Microsoft Access skills required: Relational database design, VBA coding, working knowledge of Microsoft Access programming to create queries, forms, and reportsProven creative and analytical problem-solving skills to create applicable required documents for the internal plant IT related projectsStrong analytical and communication skills (both oral and written), strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work with high performance teams, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environmentPreferred Prior experience in supporting IS operations in a 24x7 manufacturing environment or supporting and deploying Michelin L2 process applicationsUnderstanding of manufacturing network design FLAN, TCP/IP network topology design and VLAN troubleshooting and ability to maintain plant physical network interfacePreferred skills to support plant applications: Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio development environment using Visual Studio to program and troubleshoot applications using C++ and C# languages.
