24022BRTitle:Mechanical Engineer (Design / Field Safety) - Wind TurbinesJob Description:This position is for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support Wind Turbine product development and field safety issues resolution.Essential Job Functions+ Design Wind turbine components. + Drive resolution of field safety issues, which includes facilitation and documentation of meetings for cross functional teams. + Facilitate quantitative risk modeling (i.e. siting assessments). + Review field instructions and provide comments from the safety stand point. + Apply of functional or product safety design standards and methodologies to large electro-mechanical systems. + Take ownership and responsibility for investigation and documentation of field events. + Lead the investigation process to provide final findings on the damaged equipment. + Present results in Design Reviews addressing field safety issues resolution. + Ability to complete projects independently with minimal oversight to achieve project deliverables.Exceptional communication skills. + Organizational and time management skills. + Ability to work solitary and with global teams.Secondary Job Functions:At QuEST, we often challenge our team members to temporarily work outside the scope of their primary job functions to broaden their skills and help the organization. Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures. Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early. Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
