Job Details Description Position OverviewThis position will provide comprehensive quality support to Proterras Inspection Manager and other site leadership team members. You will be responsible for the inspection of bus component installation, sub-assemblies as well as developing and updating inspection documentation. Additional responsibilities include root cause/corrective actions for documented defects on and off the vehicle.About the Role You will: Maintain and uphold to high safety standardsMaintain acceptable performance standards for assembly, quality, documentation and 5S.Document defects with Andon and/or NCR systemCommunicate issues back to production associates and managementInspect both mechanical and electrical tasks as requiredUtilize function testers and other quality equipmentTrain and provide guidance to production associatesAssist with integration of quality processes on the production lineMaintain production and quality standards under minimal supervisionSolve problems by obtaining data, performing analysis to identify and evaluate possible alternatives.Be involved in activities and decisions that are varied in nature, frequently requiring independent action. Your Experience Includes: High School Diploma or Equivalent4+ years of Electrical Technician experience, preferably in automotive, bus or heavy vehicleExperience with automotive electronic and mechanical systemsHands-on mechanical and high voltage skills (automotive experience is a plus)Strong communication skills within all levels of technical personnelProficient use of MS Office applications.Proficient with test, measurement and calibrated vehicle equipment (i.e., torque wrench, multi-meter, etc.)Physical Demands: May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
