Job Description

LinkedIn's---Compensation and HR M&A team is searching for a Compensation Partner to join our team! This role is the perfect mix of operational excellence and great insights driven consulting.

The successful candidate for this position will drive the compensation strategy for the assigned client area. This individual will devise and implement compensation approaches to attract, reward and retain the talent necessary to meet LinkedIn's goals in a rapidly changing environment. In addition, this individual will lead projects and initiatives across the organization. The specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing compensation consulting and thought leadership to business leaders and business unit functions in close partnership with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners
  • Performing complex analyses and presenting findings to organization executives.
  • Consulting with HR Business Partners, Executive Recruiting and Managers to create competitive offer packages for key strategic hires
  • Review and approval of offer packages to ensure competitiveness and equity
  • Leading compensation related projects and initiatives involving multiple stakeholders with significant strategic and financial impact
  • Participate in compensation surveys; perform independent analysis of internal and external benchmarking data to support compensation needs. Investigate and communicate compensation best practices.
  • Continually assessing market conditions and pay practices to ensure competitiveness of compensation plans and programs
  • Leveraging cross functional partners and firm-wide resources to achieve desired outcomes efficiently and with consistency across lines of business, where appropriate

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:------ ---
    • 8+ years of compensation experience
    • Advanced MS Excel---skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Macros, INDEX and MATCH)
    • Bachelor's degree

      Preferred Qualifications:------ ---
      • Proven consulting skills; ability to drive business goals through HR / Compensation strategies and to address issues / devise solutions with creativity and innovation
      • Ability to work collaboratively and to cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with internal and external clients and colleagues
      • Well-developed analytical skills
      • Strong planning and project management skills
      • Exceptional systems skills: Business Objects and Web intelligence / Desktop Intelligence skills preferred.---
      • Experience with SQL
      • Genuine passion for the people domain, either through work, extra-curricular, or thought leadership, integrated with practical business understanding.--- ---
      • Proactive and resourceful: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.--- ---
      • Concise communication: Able to credibly and compellingly present and debate recommendations with senior leadership.--------- ---

        • 8-5-201(2): (Colorado only) The minimum pay for this role is $128,000/yr. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
