Job DescriptionOur Purchasing Specialist will be primarily responsible for performing and maintaining our core procurement processes such as:

• Identifying prospective suppliers while working with internal project teams
• Maintaining strong supplier relations
• Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria
• Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchasing terms and conditions
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements
• Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues
• Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings
• Analyzing industry trends and supporting management with developing and implementing sourcing strategies
• Preparing reports and records
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventoryThis role will support, and be supported by, our Supply Chain working together as a team. Communication skills are important, as interaction with our customers and colleagues will be frequent.
  
  Qualifications and Skills
  • Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a purchasing specialist or similar role
  • Working knowledge of procurement strategies
  • Focus on serving customers
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical disposition
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Ability to be part of a collaborative team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and purchasing software
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or similar field
  • ISM or APICS Certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business CentralOur Expectation
