Job Description Summary
As part of the Global Repair Productivity Team, the Gas Turbine
(GT) Repair NPI & Capability Leader will integrate with Global
Repair Service Centers and Repair Engineering to lead development
of repair capability strategy for the network of global service
centers to include industrialization of repairs for new gas turbine
products (NPI), repair qualifications, plant & equipment, and
industrialization of new repair technologies (NTI). Has significant
input into priorities. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring
high levels of operational judgment.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
NPI: Integrating with Repair Engineering, serve as the Global
Repair Leader for planning and industrialization of repairs for new
gas turbine products (NPI) including repair development planning,
repair cost estimates, shop P&E requirements, shop selection,
and qualification execution
NPI: Integrate with Product Line and Power Services to align NPI
industrialization strategy with business and customer needs
NPI: Partner with engineering and optimization to determine NPI
P&E and qualification plans
NTI: Partner with Repair Engineering to align multi-generational
plans (roadmaps) for new repair technologies & equipment (NTI) with
targeted GT hardware and Global Repair shop industrialization
plan
Shop capacity & capability: Prioritize network qualification plan
to achieve SQDC targets and maintain status of shop qualifications
and capabilities
Capacity: Maintain standardized process to measure capacity vs
demand on critical repair process (such as TBC coating, heat treat,
stripping, machining)
P&E: Lead planning and execution of Repair Value Stream P&E
budget.
P&E: Partner with Regions and Repair Engineering to develop
roadmap for Strategic P&E investments to ensure right repair
technology is at the right repair centers
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline from
an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED
with at least 6 years of experience in engineering or
manufacturing/services operations
Minimum of six years' experience in engineering,
manufacturing/services operations, or NPI program management
Desired Characteristics

Effective problem identification and solution skills
Familiar with Gas Power products, customers, and services
operations
Familiar with Global supply chain, Global Repair Service Center
network, Component Teams, and Adv Manufacturing & Repair
Engineering team
Knowledgeable of gas turbine component repair methods, procedures,
and planning.
Experience leading & organizing cross functional global teams
High-Energy, independent thinker; data/fact driven decision
maker
Change agent with customer focus
5-10% global traffic
